AGM vsr10 spring airsoft sniper rifle review

March 27th, 2009 admin Posted in Airsoft Blog, Airsoft Gun Reviews 14 Comments »

mp001-blkThe firearm market is flooded with various types of firearms, guns and rifles and most of the time; shooters are spoilt for choice as to which rifle to get. Of course, the simple rule to any rifle or gun owner is to start their gun collection with the most basic and simplest of firearms and then move on to something more advanced. We all need to know the basics first before attempting to climb up right? Some of the rifles to consider if this is your first purchase is the AGM vsr10 Spring Airsoft Sniper rifle

This rifle is a relatively new rifle from the manufacturers in AGM who have come up with other significantly popular rifles in the past and AGM has not disappointed its ardent following of rifle lovers with the Spring Sniper VSR10 Rifle!  The AGM VSR10 rifle design and engineering mimics that of the popular stealth VSR10 sniper rifle. Firing from a 25 round magazine, the AGM vsr10 is a rifle designed with simplicity and flexibility in mind, making it a unique and lightweight rifle that can be loaded just behind the front sling attachment. With 20 gram 6mm. BB's to fire at about 435FPS, the rifle is quiet thanks to its bolt action. The both action fires using a spring, and like most spring rifles, the AGM vsr10 is quiet and extremely durable. Spring rifles are the toughest and most durable of all Airsoft guns as they are made with few breakable pieces. The AGM vsr10 is known as one of the fastest spring rifles on the market.

The modular design of the rifle makes both the takedown and assembly of the rifle a breeze. Assembly and disassembly or rifles can be extremely complicated if there are many parts involved, the processes of disassembly take long and if the owner is still an amateur at guns and rifle assembly and cleaning. To find a rifle that is easy at disassembly is a good find as there are not many with this capability in today’s firearm market. The AGM is a classis piece of weaponry as is it highly detailed and has beautiful designs to compliment its quality engineering.

Being a rifle powered by a spring needs your ability as the shooter to cock the rifle after each shot. Not only easily maintained, the rifle is also fast and clean and the best part is that this rifle does not need any gas of batteries to operate. This is one rifle to own if what you are looking for is a reliable rifle that is fun, looks great and performs as well as it looks.

The rifle is made mostly of plastic and metal barrel and is very reasonable. The accuracy of the rifle depends on the type of scope that you use, as this gun is completely useless with a scope as there are no iron sights. The rifle should be equipped with a rail system for the bipod as this would greatly improve the effectiveness of the rifle. Not designed for close quarters, the rifle as overall length of a hunting rifle and can get the job done.

KART M14 EBR Airsoft Sniper Rifle Review

March 25th, 2009 admin Posted in Airsoft Blog, Airsoft Gun Reviews 11 Comments »

gp-ebr-m14kitThe latest marvel in the M14 series is the EBR (Enhanced Battle Rifle) and the KART M14 EBR Airsoft Sniper Rifle is a rifle that has all the characteristics and needs for a rifle and the price too makes this rifle popular among shooters. The EBR is the results of the US SOCOM's project of US Navy Special Forces (SEAL) of the modernized battle rifle. Kart M14 EBR is probably a rival for the other released Airsoft rifles such as the M14 and the Socom. Every Airsoft rifle that you purchase comes in a Styrofoam box which helps protect the Airsoft gun in the transport and delivery process.

As you hold the rifle for the first time, you will experience a bit of a rattle among its parts and clearly, the rifle needs some manual tightening from you every now and then. The tightening doesn’t take long as all you would need to spare is some ten minutes and some elbow grease. The rifle has a hidden battery space under its plastic fore grip. The original Kart M14 comes with a 9.6V battery. One thing about the Kart M14 EBR is the process of changing the battery as you would need to remove the three Allen screws to be able to remove the hand guard.

The rear sight of the rifle can be adjusted with two dials which allows adjustments for windage and elevation. When adjustment is done, you can hear a soft click. However, as the rifle is made for precision shooting platform, hence there is plenty of space to mount optics. The rifle also comes equipped with stripper clip sight base which replaces the stripper clip guide. With this, shooters have the option for line mounting the optics with magnification.

The bolt of the rifle is functional but not the bolt catch. The M14 EBR has a fast bolt and locks into the front position with a noticeable clank. The rifle is also generally heavy and it comes with a good sling. The chassis of the rifle is fully prepared for sling installation with the rear sling portion comes with attachments having ears on the right and left. As for the front sling attachment, it is on the common location of any rifle which is on the left side of the chassis. But if you like it to be on the right, then all you would need to do is unscrew it and attach it to the right. You wouldn’t need to buy a sling as the sling is one of the first accessories that come with the rifle.

Another integral part of the rifle is the cheek pad and shooters will be glad to know that the cheek pad is comfortable and can be adjusted to whatever height that you would like it to be in. Overall the rifle is heavy and the sling needs to be changed to a better quality version as the one that came with the rifle is soft and of lower quality. Comparative to other rifles, the advantage with the M14 EBR is that is has a fully adjustable stock and this makes full use of the sights and optical devices to its fullest advantage. Also, the Airsoft rifle’s muzzle is heavy and puts a lot of strain on your support hand. The M14 EBR is overall a pretty good rifle and it is affordable as well with no major problems.

sniperAirsoft sniper rifles are a very attractive option for new airsoft players and can help you gain the edge you need. There are two main reasons why airsoft sniper rifles are used by a team. First is the accuracy and the second it the range. These two reasons combined can prove deadly and lethal for the opponent and as for the team- well, it’s a one way ticket to winning in the battlefield.

There was once upon a time when the only known method to fire or kill an opponent in the battlefield was to fire from point blank range and as we all know now- this isn’t exactly the smartest and safest move to make. Techniques and strategies have changed to where it is known now that the best way to fight and win a battle was from a distance- using the smartest means as possible. Since this time, much of wartimes history has been surrounded about gaining an advantage of the opponent using greater distance, deadlier shots and intelligent strategies.

With a sniper airsoft rifle, a team increases their chances and ability of surviving in the game while the teammates pick their opponents to kill one by one. Double Eagles L96 Airsoft Sniper Rifle Review

March 13th, 2009 admin Posted in Airsoft Blog, Airsoft Gun Reviews 7 Comments »

Do you know the feeling you get when you hold a hard, cold lean piece of firearm in your hand? The feeling of excitement and power when your hands touch the cool metal is indescribable. Only those who have held a gun know what feeling is that. Holding the Double Eagles L96 Airsoft Sniper Rifle gives you that sense and much more. The Double Eagle is one of the most recognized firearms name in the world of weaponry and firearms and is a purpose built sniper rifle fitted with a scope and is regarded as one of the best in the world.

Like the UTG MK96, the Double Eagles L96 Airsoft Sniper Rifle is also part of the weaponry that has found its place among the British Army in the 80s. Created by British company Accuracy International, the L96 was mainly used by the British and German forces. Not only used in the British Army, the Double Eagle L96 airsoft sniper rifle was also used in the Swedish Army since the Double Eagle was built to survive harsh conditions and extreme cold climates and arctic environments.

The origin of the L96 is from the AW rifle which was mainly used for large caliber rounds such as the .338 Lapua. Accuracy International beat out competitor Parker-Hale when the British Army was looking to replace its L42 in the 1980s and with a series of improvement, Accuracy International named the L96 ‘Arctic Warfare’. The Arctic Warfare series have at least 5 rifles with the L96 being the best. The rest in the series include Police (AWP), Suppressed (AWS), Folding (AWF) and Super Magnum (AW SM). The name Arctic Warfare was given because of its anti-icing features which allow shooter’s sniping operations to be carried out under extremely cold Arctic conditions as low as -40C (-104F). The L96 has some interesting features such as an adjustable cheek rest as well as a 20mm scope mount. With this scope mount, installing a scope is much easier for the shooter. Also, the L96 does not have a polymer stock. Instead it has a hollow polymer stock which coats an aluminum bedding block.

The rifle’s barrel length is about 515 mm long and its overall length is 1270 millimeters. Its empty weight is 3340g and uses a spring bolt action system and a muzzle velocity of 460fps with 0.2gbbs. The bolt for this rifle pulls easily which is good as the rifle has high stock power. The magazine has 30 rounds in it and uses adjustable hop-up system. The L96 airsoft sniper rifle is also optimized for effective long range shooting as it comes complete with high powered pin-point accuracy performance and a tactical sniper rifle sling.
