Double Eagles L96 Airsoft Sniper Rifle Review
Do you know the feeling you get when you hold a hard, cold lean piece of firearm in your hand? The feeling of excitement and power when your hands touch the cool metal is indescribable. Only those who have held a gun know what feeling is that. Holding the Double Eagles L96 Airsoft Sniper Rifle gives you that sense and much more. The Double Eagle is one of the most recognized firearms name in the world of weaponry and firearms and is a purpose built sniper rifle fitted with a scope and is regarded as one of the best in the world.
Like the UTG MK96, the Double Eagles L96 Airsoft Sniper Rifle is also part of the weaponry that has found its place among the British Army in the 80s. Created by British company Accuracy International, the L96 was mainly used by the British and German forces. Not only used in the British Army, the Double Eagle L96 airsoft sniper rifle was also used in the Swedish Army since the Double Eagle was built to survive harsh conditions and extreme cold climates and arctic environments.
The origin of the L96 is from the AW rifle which was mainly used for large caliber rounds such as the .338 Lapua. Accuracy International beat out competitor Parker-Hale when the British Army was looking to replace its L42 in the 1980s and with a series of improvement, Accuracy International named the L96 ‘Arctic Warfare’. The Arctic Warfare series have at least 5 rifles with the L96 being the best. The rest in the series include Police (AWP), Suppressed (AWS), Folding (AWF) and Super Magnum (AW SM). The name Arctic Warfare was given because of its anti-icing features which allow shooter’s sniping operations to be carried out under extremely cold Arctic conditions as low as -40C (-104F). The L96 has some interesting features such as an adjustable cheek rest as well as a 20mm scope mount. With this scope mount, installing a scope is much easier for the shooter. Also, the L96 does not have a polymer stock. Instead it has a hollow polymer stock which coats an aluminum bedding block.
The rifle’s barrel length is about 515 mm long and its overall length is 1270 millimeters. Its empty weight is 3340g and uses a spring bolt action system and a muzzle velocity of 460fps with 0.2gbbs. The bolt for this rifle pulls easily which is good as the rifle has high stock power. The magazine has 30 rounds in it and uses adjustable hop-up system. The L96 airsoft sniper rifle is also optimized for effective long range shooting as it comes complete with high powered pin-point accuracy performance and a tactical sniper rifle sling.

This sounds like a mean piece of equipment! This airsoft sniper rifle looks perfect for long range shooting with accurate performance. And it seems durable, given that it was made to last cold and harsh environments. Perfect for any gun enthusiast and weapons collectors out there.

Guns are measured in mm and grams? Or is that just how you do it. Seems an awkward way to measure a firearm.
Then again, my knowledge of guns is rather limited beyond “Point and shoot”. Why would it be measured in mm as opposed to cm?

I don’t think that any collector would want to collect an airsoft sniper riffle because we all knew that a gun collector only collects real gun. You are mistaking it for the real thing.
You can’t even kill a rabbit with this gun.

An airsoft sniper rifle is not used for real hunting. These airsoft rifles are not for collectors.
You can use these airsoft rifles as training rifles instead of a real rifle and you can use them as weapon against the neighbor cats.

Double eagles was one of the famous brands of firearms especially when I was working in 90’s. Using double eagle class of airsoft sniper rifles would always be a great thing to do.
We have used a lot of fire arms during our airsoft scenario stimulation but not double eagle brand sniper rifle. I think it is time that we get L96 double eagle airsoft sniper rifle.

These days, the air-soft guns have become all the more innovative as there has been crossbreed firearms developed. All these pistols have a higher dosage of reality blended in. The plastic BBs are wrapped in casings. In other words, each and every time you fire the rifle, a shell casing is launched.
